The AUSL pro softball 2026 champion has already been crowned (it was the Utah Talons if you are new here) and the AUSL regular season and post season are over. But the AUSL is not done yet.
The AUSL does something completely different than any other sport after its post season—it hosts a month long AUSL All-Star Cup.
The league invites 45 of its top players to complete in 12 total games throughout August. There are 3 teams, and each team has a team captain. The captain gets to select their team in a fantasy sports style draft. All three teams play each other in what is called a series, and there are 4 total series during the All-Star Cup. And the top three leaders in individual points are selected as new captains and select brand new teams before each series.
How do players earn individua points? During each game, individual players are awarded individual points based on their performance. Players receive individua points for hits, stolen bases, getting hit by a pitch, you get the idea! Pitchers earn points for outs and subtract points for runs allowed. Players also receive points if their team wins an inning, wins the game, or if they are selected as the game’s MVP.
At the end of the All-Star Cup, all individual points are tallied up and one individual winner is crowned.
The first three captains for 2026 were former Oklahoma Sooners legend and national champion Keilani Ricketts, former UCLA standout and Team USA selection Rachel Garcia, and recently crowned AUSL champion pitcher Georgina Corrick from the Utah Talons.
All of the AUSL All-Star Cup games are played at Parkway Bank Field in Rosemont, Illinois. This is the only dedicated pro softball venue in the entire AUSL, and is home to the Chicago Bandits.
As of today, Carolina Blaze infielder Baylee Klinger is #1 on the individual points leaderboard, but it’s still anyone’s game!
