Alex "A-Rod" Rodriguez is joining the Sunday Night Baseball crew for the 2018 season. The Sunday Night Baseball crew, as we know, also features Hall of Fame softball player Jessica Mendoza.
Alex Rodriguez, at least on paper, will go down as one of the best baseball players of all time. He played shortstop and third base for the Mariners, Rangers, and Yankees over a 22-year career, racking up 696 home runs and 3,115 hits with a lifetime .295 batting average. The only mark against A-Rod is that he admitted to using performance enhancing drugs while playing with the Texas Rangers, and there are allegations of him using them at other points in his career as well.
But, love him or hate him, he is now a co-host with our favorite baseball analyst Jessica Mendoza! This new development is really fantastic because (1) it raises the entire profile of the Sunday Night Baseball crew by adding a bona fide MLB star, and (2) it means Jessica Mendoza is coming back for another season!
Jessica Mendoza is now a certified member of an elite baseball commentary team! What an accomplishment!
