It's always nice to see good things happen to good people.  In that spirit, I am pleased to be able to share some happy news about former Bandits and University of Georgia star Alisa Goler-- She is now engaged!  She posted a pic on twitter which I have re-posted below.

Goler was a 3 time All American for the University of Georgia where she played from 2008-2011.  Goler left Georgia with several single season school records including batting average with .455, slugging percentage with .994, on base percentage with .551, and home runs with 24.  She also left the school with career records for home runs with 58 and RBI with 236.

Goler was drafted by the Bandits in 2011 and quickly established herself as one of the best hitters in the NPF.  Goler earned both Rookie of the Year and Home Run Champion honors in her 2011 rookie season.  Through her first six seasons in the NPF Goler averaged a .294 batting average and compiled 209 hits, 136 RBI and 31 home runs.

Goler played four seasons with the Chicago Bandits from 2011-2014, then played two seasons with the Pennsylvania Rebellion before signing as a free agent for the Scrapyard Dawgs in 2017.  In 2017 Goler logged 103 at bats and hit for a .255 average, 3 home runs, 26 hits, and 14 RBI.  Goler was also part of the Dawgs' 2017 Cowles Cup Championship team.

Congrats to Alisa Goler on her upcoming nuptials!  And check out that rock!  This guy definitely seems like a keeper! ;)

Great looking couple, congratulations to them both! This is some NPF promotion that is needed. The NPF itself along with the teams should be doing as much of this type of "family' promotions as possible! As it is the players must make a name for themselves, the league/teams  (maybe Dawgs are exception) don't seem to help much. Surf all the social media and one quickly see's what I am saying. A few players are online promoting themselves most days, and that's good. There are even a couple 'second' lever players have made themselves into a top rated player by promoting themselves! More players need to do this! Let the world know, especially during the Recreation Season, that you are out there!

You have to "Toot Your Own Horn" if you want people to notice you!
